The main problem today is that many of the most critical and costly operations is executed the same way that as it was done 25 years ago, managed by manual operations, complex excel spread sheets and time consuming tracking and reporting.
Dry-docking projects stands for a large portion of the total cost of operating a vessel and is a good candidate for digitalization in order to aim for better transparency and cost reduction!
Digital collaboration and cost reductions
VesselMan tracking and reporting module is developed in close collaboration with experienced Norwegian fleet managers and superintendents.
We believe that we in the near future will see Yards and contractors working directly into VesselMan in a digital collaboration process, where management will have a transparent and always updated view of status, and the Superintendents can focus more on quality and people instead of time consuming reporting!
Reporting to Management and stakeholders
Authorized users can use their notepads or browsers to get status-reports from on-going projects, always updated.
The data is based on actual status on jobs, invoices and purchase orders, without any magic excel operations! All the jobs are classified in a way that makes the management report reflect cost breakdown structures on main groups, cost activity codes and project codes.
Easy to track progress
The Superintendent operates an easy to use tracking app in order to update progress and keep track of costs. Variation orders and cancelled jobs are effectively managed. VesselMan will automatically produce status-reports and the final docking report based on the tracking, no more duplicate work!
All the remarks and reports produced during the docking are easily saved to each job and managed for later use.
