Sales Manager Digital Solutions - Ship Management
DIGITAL SHIP MANAGEMENT PROCESSES
This is a unique opportunity to join an exciting software company (SaaS) start-up in a rapid growth stage.
We are looking for a sales-driven person who shares our vision to transform the way shipping companies and ship management companies leverage digital technologies in performing their fleet technical management tasks and processes.
The right candidate has vast experience and a real track-record selling solutions to fleet managers and ship management teams, with a solid maritime background bringing credibility into commercial discussions with prospects, customers and partners on the opportunities for digitalisation and strategic collaboration between management teams and their suppliers and customers.
You must also be comfortable employing modern technologies and web-based tools to engage customers, perform presentations and demonstrate our products.
The company is located in the Oslo area. The position requires business travelling on a frequent basis.
Creating and implementing sales, marketing and business development plans to grow the company’s global customer base
Conduct customer meetings and negotiations, including pre-sales presentations and product demonstrations
Develop a digital adoption programme for VesselMan’s technologies and ensure customer success
Build a team over time to accelerate growth and ensure customer satisfaction
Support VesselMan’s sales partners and agents
Shipping and maritime industry experience with focus on commercial and technical aspects
Extensive network and contacts in the shipping and maritime sectors enabling access to management and decision makers in target companies
Sales and sales management experience
Solid understanding of business concepts and software opportunities
Formal maritime education is desirable, particularly within operations and maintenance
Excellent communication skills in English. Must command a Scandinavian language, preferably Norwegian.
