​30. November we launched VesselMan 2.0 which is an upgrade of the user interface as well as the launch of new features to the platform. 

​For the past year we have had focus on making the solution as user-friendly and intuitive as possible. We have worked with our existing clients to get their feedback and together we are finally ready to show everyone what we have been working on. VesselMan is created by the users, for the users - and that is the best part of having a cloud-based solution; all upgrades will be available for all users right away!

What's New? 

All visible parts of VesselMan have a new design. The menu, also called Navigation, is probably the biggest change besides that the colors and boxes has changed. The Navigation slides out if you bring your mouse over to the left side of the screen and will be available at all times. This will also remove multiple steps - which means you will reduce the amount of clicks.

Home page has also changed, and we have tried to make the overview more relevant to the individual user. It visualizes the status on your tasks/projects in a better way.

Dock Plan is now called Project Timeline. This also highlights our message to market that VesselMan is not just a docking project tool, but a project management tool for all technical projects and projects / plans across your fleet.

We have simplified the process of building the specification by separating the specification builder and the budgeting (setting budgets for each area/job). The reason we have done this is to help you maintain the right focus when building the specification details, and when setting the budget you will have cost control as your main priority.

A new feature we have launched is the option to select specific jobs in the specification. You can select multiple jobs you would like to send to a specific supplier to get an exported PDF of the specific jobs to send out for a quote.
 
Yard comparison is the same as before but with a nicer look and easier to see where specific changes has been done – either by yourself or by the yard. Yard details on the other side is a new feature that makes it easier to navigate between the selected yards. It also enables you to select and resend a quotation sheet with unquotes jobs, new jobs added since last export etc.

Benchmark is a new feature for many of you. The benchmark feature visualize the yard quotes you are evaluating and benchmark these against previously completed projects. This is a great tool that could help you with your negotiations as well as to amplify your upcoming project.

The mobile app is similar as before, but we have upgraded and improved the offline syncing.
 
The reports have also been improved by adding alternatives for only adding images added since last report etc. This is important for the ones that uses daily reports where many images are being uploaded. ​
