I have always been fascinated by Shipping because of the trade of commodities between countries and people, as this is such an important part of the world economy, our society and people’s lives. I believe VesselMan fits in with the right solution to help clients become more efficient through a more streamlined ways of work and digital collaboration across the value chain when executing technical projects and repairs. This results in clients becoming more competitive on saving costs and free up time to use elsewhere. I can’t wait to be part of VesselMan’s long term growth path. "We are very excited about having Sebastian joining our team! We have managed to gather resources from different parts of the shipping industry, and Sebastian is bringing knowledge and experience we have been lacking. His positive attitude and forward leaning approach is impressive, and I believe he will have great impact to our clients in regards to converting manual processes into a digital environment - he sees and understands the possibilities as well as understanding the complexity!"
We are excited to introduce our newest team member, Carl Wållgren, who joins us as a Customer Success Manager. Carl brings 8 years of experience in the maritime industry, having worked as a Senior Captain at Northern Offshore Services, where he gained valuable expertise in managing crew transfer vessels in offshore wind parks. With his strong focus on safety and operational efficiency, he has demonstrated the ability to handle complex technical projects with a disciplined and structured approach. As a Customer Success Manager at VesselMan, Carl will leverage his expertise in change management and guide our clients on how to use VesselMan as a digital platform to improve their technical management processes. He will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of transforming our clients' internal ways of work into lean digital processes, and developing and improving our digital transformation methodology.
Please join us in welcoming Carl to the VesselMan team!
One can agree that crew members are the most important "asset" of a vessel. Without the crew, the vessel would not be able to sail, be maintained, loaded or discharged. Like many industries, there is a demand for reduction in resources and crew members onboard vessels. We address this problem by developing better ways to utilize the skills and resources we already have onboard. Ulysses Systems and VesselMan are now working towards making a skill matrix where we are tracking and visualizing what skills our team already has within maintenance, dry-docking and technical projects. We see a massive potential in optimizing the team and fully use all resources when necessary. This feature will help crewing departments in shipping company/ship managements get a better way create awareness of the skills and experience of the crew. Ulysses Systems and VesselMan are experts in understanding maintenance. A big focus area is to ensure the maintenance schedules are adhered to, even if you don’t report the jobs in the sequence expected due to unscheduled events like breakdowns and repair periods like dry-docks. VesselMan is very excited about being part of this collaborative project with Ulysses Hellas S.A which is a project supported by a grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021, in the frame of the programme “Business Innovation Greece”. The project “Crew management system to improve manning based on skills, experience and business requirements” addresses manning problems in relation to vessels technical performance. This project will complement the planned maintenance integrations with technical projects that are already established between Ulysses and VesselMan. Giving the shipping companies best possible utilization of optimized manning, ship repair and maintenance and performance for the voyages. VesselMan is always looking for ways to integrate or partner with other systems in the industry to help our users utilize their day- to day work better. Integration is the key forward to everything involved in digitalization in the maritime industry. Want to learn more about VesselMan, please reach out to us at info@vesselman.com. IMC Ship Management (IMC) as a fast-growing Singapore-based maritime company provides a diversified range of services in Maritime Asset Management and ancillary solutions. The group manages a fleet of vessels that include bulk carriers, oil/chemical tankers, containers, cable-layers, and multi-purpose vessels. In the effort to digitalize its work processes, IMC collaborated with VesselMan to conduct pilot projects on two of their technical projects. We were sourcing for a cloud-based solution that enables technical data to be consolidated as a move to improve our readiness in expanding the business. With VesselMan, our projects can be carried out in a systematic way and data being shared in a digital ecosystem. Most importantly, technical data can be shared among all users through boundary-less collaboration to enhance the projects’ efficiency and cost control. VesselMan provides a platform with easy usability for users from different backgrounds to input and share information when it comes to technical projects, which usually involves as much as 70% of a vessel’s maintenance cost. With users being guided through the standardized processes, the time spent on building specs, comparing quotes, and tracking jobs can be kept at minimal. Our office in Singapore covers the APAC time zone to train and support users in the region. The team is confident that we will be able to furnish IMC a solution that does not only significantly reduce the cost and time spent on technical projects, but also raise the awareness on the importance of technical data management. anchor: BoludaTowage

We look forward to working with them to improve today's work processes, get better control across the fleet and to amplify their internal project management. "We have been looking for a platform that would handle project management for quite some time. What we really like about VesselMan so far is that the platform is much more than just project management. Being able to roll out internal company procedures / guides for different project types helps our resources to collaborate and visualize tasks and activities that are planned for. It has increased our efficiency, by among other things, introducing a very useful app. We are positive about VesselMan and look forward to using the platform on our upcoming projects." anchor: RoswellTankers
Roswell Tankers provides world-class ship management services and has over 40 years of experience. It is a pleasure to announce that Roswell Tankers will use VesselMan to conduct their next docking in Greece this October. We are proud to announce that Roswell Tankers has agreed to run their next dry docking happening this October in VesselMan. We are running a few projects in Greece these days and it is an interesting market and fleet to work with. We look forward to seeing what the future brings in Greece and to further explore the experienced Greek shipping environment. Roswell Tankers has a forward leaning attitude and an engaged team – so I believe this will be a good collaboration! Exmar Shipmanagement has over a period tested out VesselMan and are pleased about what the platform delivers. One of the main elements was also a seamless integration with Task Assistant - Planned Maintenance Systems delivered by Ulysses Systems. The framework for the integration has been developed and funded by Innovation Norway Greece. The framework enables VesselMan to connect to relevant systems for the technical department. We have been working for some time with VesselMan for evaluation purposes. A good relationship was established throughout the process with constructive feedback and support sessions. The methodology of project management and ability to integrate and visualize our workflows for different project types has been perceived positively. The system will, using modern technologies such as the mobile application, increase the efficient collaboration and transparency between stakeholders. This way the solution meets our requirements in our continuous aim to work smarter in our digital environment. Lene Normann Olsen, VesselMan's CCO says that working with Exmar is educational, inspiring and demanding - which is exactly what we are looking for in a partnership!
"The technical team at Exmar is forward leaning and has a good understanding of how efficient and smart projects should be run. They also allow us to challenge their way of thinking which is unique for the industry. It is truly inspiring working with people like Arne and his team!" We are thrilled to announce that Remøy Shipping has signed a fleet agreement with VesselMan. VesselMan has provided us with a state-of-the-art tool for project planning, cost control and analysis. We have been using VesselMan for some time now and are very impressed with the possibilities offered by the solution. The insights we get from VesselMan will form an important basis for our negotiations with shipyards and suppliers. Hurtigruten Norwegian Coastal Express has decided to roll out VesselMan for all dockings and technical projects. Hurtigruten has been sailing in the Norwegian coast for 130 years, and has a forward leaning attitude on how to run smarter projects and how they can work more digitally when it comes to planning and executing technical projects. The onboarding project Hurtigruten completed earlier this year was a success and the result had a positive outcome; "with great focus from the user and with VesselMan as our management platform we managed to complete the dry-docking on budget".
