Orion Ship Management recently left Weihai Huadong Ship Repair Co., Ltd in Shandong Province in China, and is pleased with their selected yard after having compared it towards other yards in VesselMan beforehand. Orion Ship Management has a vision to enhance our vessel dry-docking projects planning and management, which is making them more cost and duration efficient on top having all the information stored in the cloud for easy access and audit purpose. TARAKAN EXPRESS being our latest project planned and managed in VesselMan, has allowed our Superintendent to build comprehensive specifications based on previous projects. Yard quotations’ comparison can also be done easily and compared side-by-side.

VesselMan has signed an agreement to provide a project management software to United Marine Egypt (UME). UME is VesselMan's first Egypt-based client and further expands the company's global reach with recent client signings in the USA, Norway, France, and Indonesia. UME has a growing business that provides ship management, chartering, and brokerage services.
VesselMan CEO, Glenn Edvardsen, said "This is the best thing about what we do. So much of the talk around shipping innovation is focused on a few small geographies - but shipping is a global business and companies all over the work are looking for the same cost-effective ways of increasing margins though efficiency and productivity. UME is our kind of partner, they are a highly proactive and dynamic company."

"There is a great potential for digitizing technical management processes - or let me put it into context - make the already great processes and routines into a digital format. The potential for making your work more efficient and reduce cost and time are massive. Entering the role as General Manager in Singapore is something I am very proud of, and being a part of the digital transformation VesselMan is doing for shipping companies is a huge motivation for me.
Today, we are working with small and large companies - both ship managements and ship owners. Our ambition is to make help our clients with digital collaboration across borders and teams - especially in these new times where we have to welcome remote work and online tools to make our daily operation more efficient and transparent." |
